1947 INDIAN CHIEF

Of all of the American made motorcycles, the late 40’s Indian Chief is the most widely recognizable due to its flowing skirted fenders which set the standard of the class and elegance of that era. This beautiful “numbers matching” example sports a very tasteful restoration with the black painted gas tank and fender tops in black with cream skirts. The iconic 74ci flathead V-twin motor with a three-speed manual transmission will get you down the road in style, although the unconventional right hand tank shift and left hand throttle will take a little practice to get use to.  They could easily be swapped out for the more conventional right hand throttle action that has become the standard of the industry for the past 70 plus years. Reported to be a good rider, this motorcycle has been on static display for the past few years and will need a full servicing prior to hitting the road again!  Selling with a clear title.
